Fred Dent, CFA
Fred Dent is in his 31st year in the financial planning and advice business. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on financial topics. After his return to Baton Rouge from his work at a major Wall Street firm, Fred was the resident financial analyst on CBS affiliate, WAFB-TV, with his popular and informative segment, “Dollars and Dent.” He is the co-founder of Forum35, a Baton Rouge young leadership organization. In 1992 he led the successful effort to light the Mississippi river bridge. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Fred is an active participant in several community organizations and non-profits. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter.
Zaheer Poptani MA, LLB, MBA
Zaheer Poptani, born and reared in London, completed his law degree at the University of Exeter. On scholarship at Louisiana State University, he completed a master’s degree in political science, concentrating in comparative political economics, and an MBA, concentrating in international finance. Zaheer joined Dent Asset Management in 2000. He is the firm's chief compliance officer. A Rotarian since 2005, Zaheer became a United States citizen in 2014.
Mawe Takyi, CFP®
Mawe Takyi came from Ghana, West Africa in 2000, to Louisiana State University, where he graduated with a degree in economics. He started at Dent Asset Management as a financial analyst, and now serves the firm as a financial advisor and financial planner. Mawe holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. In 2014, Mawe became a United States citizen. A Rotarian, Mawe holds positions on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge, Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge, and Hope Academy. He is a facilitator for the “100 Black Men of Baton Rouge Dollar and $ense” program and has been recognized as one of the Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Top 40 Under 40.”
Rhonda Brouillette is in charge of the firm’s operations. She has spent her lifetime career in the financial services industry and has worked with Dent Asset Management for over 27 years. She is an enthusiastic marathon runner and a life-long resident of Baton Rouge.
